Our Founder Sarah Scott has been behind some of the biggest names in the music world. Canadian born, She has been recognized in the Industry by Billboard, Women In Music, Hollywood Reporter, Power Lawyers, and Variety Impact Lawyers lists.
Whether she’s negotiating complicated asset purchases, Multi-year Global Touring and residency agreements or cross-media brand marketing integrations, Sarah’s style has earned her the trust of her colleagues and loyalty of the firm's clients.
She has helped artists navigate some of their toughest negotiations, and been behind their greatest career triumphs. Having previously built major label Business Affairs departments, and led Industry leading Digital Business Development teams, she has been inside the detailed work of Recording, Songwriting, Producer, Merchandise, Licensing and Touring Agreements from every angle.

Sarah is an Associate at Scott Legal Group with over a decade of experience championing the rights and careers of music and entertainment professionals. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Business and Management from Berklee College of Music, Meister’s journey into the industry was fueled by her love of music and to support fellow creators.
Meister has represented legacy recording artists, award winning producers and songwriters, as well as up-and-coming talent. Her expertise spans a wide range of music industry agreements, including recording, publishing, producer, distribution, touring, endorsement and executive employment agreements. Sarah's unique perspective as a musician and songwriter allows her to provide insightful counsel to her clients, ensuring their interests are protected and their creative and business endeavors thrive.

Mariana is an entertainment lawyer licensed in both California and Brazil, and an associate at Scott Legal Group with deep experience in entertainment, music, and intellectual property. A UCLA Law graduate, she has worked with unions, major record labels, and leading technology companies, as well as creatively within artist owned businesses, gaining insight into the structures and challenges shaping today’s entertainment industries.
Mariana has the ability to guide clients using an integrated business, legal, and creative approach, given her background. Her expertise covers negotiating and drafting brand partnership agreements for Talent and agencies, music industry agreements such as touring, recording, publishing, and distribution, as well as copyright and royalty asset sales and purchases.

Ryan is an Associate at Scott Legal Group with robust music publishing and transactional entertainment experience. In his prior role as an in-house attorney at BMG Rights Management, he drafted and negotiated myriad frontline publishing deals spanning the most prolific songwriters and artists in the modern music industry, legacy superstars, and rising talent. He now leverages this experience to provide songwriters, artists, and creatives with insider knowledge and expertise to protect their creative endeavors across publishing agreements, record deals, APAs, and other entertainment transactions.
Prior to his legal practice, Ryan received a B.S. in Music Industry from USC’s Thornton School of Music, a minor in Business Law from USC’s Marshall School of Business, and his J.D. with an emphasis in entertainment from USC’s Gould School of Law.

Elliot Efrat is a second-year law student at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. Prior to law school, he earned a dual degree in Business Administration and the Music Industry from Northeastern University, where he completed internships at leading record labels including Sony Music Entertainment, Republic Records, and 300 Entertainment/Atlantic Records
